How do I book?

Booking is easy.  All you have to do is email me with the booking date, place and time.  If we are available and can attend you pay a non-refundable deposit of $100 and your date, time and place is booked.  Once all money is recieved and your booking acknowledged via email it is secure and final.  No one else can change this booking accept you and this must be done in writing or via email to avoid any misunderstanding.  I will confirm your changes via email as well.

When do I pay the rest of the money?

The remaining money MUST be paid at least 4 weeks before your booking date unless prior arrangements have been made.  If the remaining money is not paid and you have not contacted us to arrange an alternative then we will think that you no longer require or want the petting zoo or mobile animal farm and your booking will be cancelled.  We don't want to upset any children so PLEASE contact us if there is a problem with the payment or the booking.

How many parties do you book in one day?

Only yours.  We do not double book or split our time.  This is why it is so important to book ahead.

What if we cancel, postpone or need to change a booking?

We hold the booking exclusively for you once your booking is confirmed and secured by your non-refundable deposit.  You need to ensure that you get a confirmation of booking, changes or cancellations made via email.  DO NOT consider anything changes or bookings recieved unless you recieve a confirmaiton from us.

We will try to help out if there is a serious incident which prevents the party from going ahead by changing the date for you where ever and when everpossible, but this is left to our discreation and subject to availability of course.

Please understand some changes are not possible.  Yes your deposit is forfeited for this booking.

How much room is needed?

Depending on which animals you would like at the petting zoo will depend on how much room is required.  We can fit the petting zoo into a court yard or small back yard if required.  Normally for birthday parites 4 x 4 m is sufficent but for bigger events obviously more room is required due to the higher number of participants/guests.   Also please note that the petting zoo is more suited to the smaller area and the mobile animal farm to larger events and areas.  We probably wouldn't bring Lepricorn the little dexter steer to the petting zoo as he is more suited to the mobile animal farm for example, but if you really really want him he will come to the birthday party petting zoo.

Can we touch the animals?

Yes, everyone gets an opportunity to touch and pet our beautiful animals, as we feel that a hands on approach and caring guidance help children gain valuable confidence and knowledge about animals.

The animals are taken out of their transport cages and placed in the petting zoo so that they can be nursed, brushed and fed safely on laps, some are even allowed to roam around the enclosure, when it is safe for the animals to do so.

Chicks and ducklings can be wrapped in soft towels for easy handling if necessary and to keep them warm, or they can simply be fed in their cage.

Depending on the age of baby animals, bottle feeding may be  part of your animal farm experience.  This will depend on if they are due for a feed whilst we are visiting and if the mother is not present.  Most of our babies are feed by their biological mother.

We are happy stay until every child has had chance to interact with each of our animals. We make sure everyone as a fantastic time, however we do reserve the right to refuse any child from touching or interacting with any animal, if we feel that the child’s conduct may be harmful to themselves or the animal.

We can offer lots of photo opportunities with our animals too!
